Sr. Technical Project Manager, Axon 911

This role is for a Senior Technical Project Manager at Axon 911, focusing on the delivery of mission-critical cloud and IT deployments for public safety agencies. The role involves leading projects from kickoff to go-live, coordinating technical and operational resources, and acting as a liaison between engineering, product, and customer teams. The goal is to ensure timely and seamless implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient IT solutions, including an AI intelligence layer, to improve emergency response.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead end-to-end deployment of cloud-based platforms, including system configuration, testing, and go-live support
  2. Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to implement scalable, secure, and resilient IT solutions tailored for public safety
  3. Create/manage project and technical implementation plans (e.g., infrastructure readiness, data flows, failover testing)
  4. Coordinate with DevOps, R&D, and Solution Architects to align product capabilities with deployment requirements
  5. Manage expectations across stakeholders, resolve issues proactively, and ensure milestone delivery

Skills

Required

  • PMP or CAPM certified
  • 3 - 5 years of experience managing global technical projects
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams through cloud or hybrid infrastructure implementations
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking concepts, and cloud deployment models (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Proven ability to translate customer needs into actionable technical plans

Nice to have

  • Experience with ESInet and NG911 i3-compliant technologies
  • Familiarity with systems used by PSAPs or other emergency services
  • Hands-on experience managing projects involving cloud-native architectures or real-time communication platforms
  • Demonstrated ability using AI tools, cross-platform integrations, and innovative tools
