Territory Account Executive - Melbourne

This role is for a Territory Account Executive at Toast, a company focused on empowering the restaurant community. The Account Executive will be a founding member of the Australian team, responsible for building relationships, prospecting, and signing up new restaurateurs in the Melbourne area. The role requires a consultative sales approach, understanding client needs to develop customized solutions, and leveraging Salesforce for sales activities. Candidates need at least 2 years of sales experience, a founder mentality, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Toast uses AI tools across all disciplines, including sales, to improve efficiency and quality, and also uses AI in its hiring process for tasks like note-taking and summarization.

What you'd actually do

  1. Generate list of prospective restaurants and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting, initial call to close (experience with self-sourcing clients is a huge plus)
  2. Conduct demos and develop a solution that best meets the prospect’s needs
  3. Partner with teams across the business to ensure that expectations set during the sales process are met in delivery
  4. Leverage Salesforce (our CRM) to manage all sales activities
  5. Understand the competitive landscape and determine how to best position Toast in the market

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years experience in a sourcing or closing sales role, restaurant operations, or a relatable field and industry
