Toast is seeking a Territory Account Executive for its new Toast Retail platform, targeting convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops. The role involves prospecting, building relationships, conducting demos, and closing new accounts using a consultative sales approach. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, strong sales and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of exceeding goals. While the company uses AI tools internally and in its hiring process, this role is focused on sales and customer acquisition for the retail platform.

What you'd actually do

  1. Use a consultative approach to prospect, build relationships, and sign up new convenience stores, grocery stores and bottle shops
  2. Generate lists of prospective convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops and manage the entire sales cycle from initial call to close
  3. Conduct demos and develop a solution that best meets the prospect’s needs
  4. Partner with teams across the business to ensure that expectations set during the sales process are met in delivery
  5. Leverage Salesforce (our CRM) to manage all sales activities
