Toast is seeking a Territory Account Executive to expand its new Toast Retail platform into convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops. This role involves prospecting, building relationships, and closing new accounts using a consultative approach. The executive will manage the sales cycle, conduct demos, and leverage Salesforce. The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong sales and negotiation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. While Toast uses AI tools internally and in its hiring process, this specific role is focused on sales and business development for a retail platform.

What you'd actually do

  1. Use a consultative approach to prospect, build relationships, and sign up new convenience stores, grocery stores and bottle shops
  2. Generate lists of prospective convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops and manage the entire sales cycle from initial call to close
  3. Conduct demos and develop a solution that best meets the prospect’s needs
  4. Partner with teams across the business to ensure that expectations set during the sales process are met in delivery
  5. Leverage Salesforce (our CRM) to manage all sales activities
