Toast is seeking a Territory Account Executive to join their SMB sales team. The role involves prospecting, managing the sales cycle, conducting demos, and closing deals with new restaurateurs. The ideal candidate will have sales experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. While Toast uses AI tools internally to support various functions, this role is focused on sales and does not involve building or directly managing AI models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Generate list of prospective restaurants and manage the entire sales cycle from initial call to close
  2. Conduct demos and develop a solution that best meets the prospect’s needs
  3. Partner with teams across the business to ensure that expectations set during the sales process are met in delivery
  4. Leverage Salesforce (our CRM) to manage all sales activities
  5. Understand the competitive landscape and determine how to best position Toast in the market

Skills

Required

  • 1+ years of experience in a sourcing or closing sales role, restaurant operations, or a relatable field and industry
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong communication, organizational and presentation skills with the ability to sell and negotiate at all decision-making levels
  • Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding goals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and team environment
  • Self-motivated, creative, and flexible
  • General technical proficiency with software
